Georgia Certified Landscape Designers & Horticulturists

Our Georgia certified landscape designers & horticulturists work with you to understand your needs, desires, and outdoor interests. Our goal is to create a landscape that will provide enjoyment, appeal and value for years to come. Whether you want a consultation, a simple sketch, a hand drawing, or a full-color 3D design, we can accommodate your needs.

A terrific design doesn’t just reflect the creativity of the designer, but also factors in your personal preferences and site considerations, such as shade, sun exposure, slope, site drainage, etc. With the extensive selection of plants always in stock at Scottsdale Farms, you will have the opportunity to walk through our garden center and select your favorite plants and materials to be included in your design. Once complete, the design is presented for your review, modification and approval. We will revise as needed to ensure your complete satisfaction. Along with your completed design, we will offer installation options to meet your needs. Should you choose to have Scottsdale Farms provide the materials and/or complete the installation, we grow most of our plants here at our nursery and at our nearby farm. This makes it easy for us to guarantee that only the best quality plants will be installed in your landscape.

I have shopped at Scottsdale Farms for years and recently decided to try their landscape design and installation services. It was truly a pleasurable experience! Luca and his team designed and delivered a landscape that exceeded my expectations. The plan was unique and well communicated, and the installation team executed the plan flawlessly. When the installation was complete, there was not a piece of dirt or mulch on my driveway or any other hardscape surface – impressive! I always receive compliments on our landscape when we have guests over. Scottsdale Farms delivers on the merits that are important to me – quality, professionalism, service and value.

This was our second installation with Scottsdale Farms. We came back because we were very happy with our first installation. Karen works great with her customers as she is knowledgeable and makes great recommendations. She is willing to adjust on the spot and also lets you know how to save money, such as reusing pine straw that was moved out before installation. We will definitely be using Scottsdale Farms for our next phase of landscaping.

First of all, you hired a great landscape designer. Peggy is so caring, she gives you the landscape design you want and that not only suits your property, but also enhances it. An example of her caring…When Peggy learned that we were going to install a play area for the children, she suggested and even insisted that we not place an Arbor Vitae tree near the playground. Your installers were precise and careful. They removed all trash and left the property as clean as they found it.

Our designer listened to what I liked and incorporated it into the plan. Excellent communication and setting expectations. Installation crew was friendly, efficient and great to work with. I enjoyed the entire experience and am thrilled with the results.

David and I want to thank you for the wonderful landscape you designed and your staff installed last month in our backyard (hill) in Laurel Grove Subdivision. The hydrangeas are beautiful and the Fat Albert Spruce (as a focal point) on the hill looks amazing! We had guests over this past holiday weekend and spent time on the deck with confidence, enjoying the landscape. They loved it too!

Many thanks,
David and Jamie K.

Fantastic plants and trees for fair prices. The cafe is a fun outing with creative food and drinks. We have used their design, planting and delivery service all with great success.

Landscaping Tips

Though your home is your castle, there is no necessity to surround it with a moat. Here are 5 tips that will help you to make your landscaping feel more warm, welcoming and cozy.

1. Put some flowers nearby your entrance. Flowers make any area look more welcoming and attractive, so greeting your guests with Petunia, Snapdragon, Lily-of-the-Nile or some other garden flowers is always a great thing to do. What is more, to add some space between your house and the entrance, you can consider adding a little white fence. It will create an illusion that your front yard is bigger than it actually is. What is more, adding fence will create a great space for planting flowers to add some color and coziness.

2. Add rambling vines to make your yard look absolutely lovely. You can not deny that rambling vines always create romantic and even magical atmosphere. So why not to use this tip while decorating your yard?

3. To hide the unattractive driveway, consider adding some color, texture, and height. You can easily do it by adding various sorts of flowers. To start, create an island of green lawn right in the hub of a drive. Then add a couple of low boxwood hedges with flowers toward the back of your island.

4. If you want your yard to blossom and flourish bust still do not have enough time to maintain it, consider planting low-fuss lilies. Such flowers look absolutely gorgeous and come in the variety of rainbow hues, so you can pick the one you love most. What is more, low-fuss lilies do not care about the sort of soil, they love the sun and welcome hot, they do not afraid of drought. In other words, Crinums is an ideal flower for all those who are looking for low-maintenance solutions.

5. The last tip also touches the low-maintenance aspect. To make your life easier, group plantings into beds and islands. This will help you to avoid mowing and trimming around each individual plant, save a lot of time and even money.
