What are we looking for? We're of course looking for great pictures of great Backyard NiceRinks. BUT, it's more than just the rink! We want to see what else it means to have a backyard rink. We want to see cute kid pictures with rosey red cheeks, the biggest snow bank, practicing a slap shop in the back with the big stick whip, a face full of snow, the crystal-ice mustache. If you already have a backyard ice rink, you know what we're talking about.

Help us portray the culture of what it really means to have a backyard rink. It's SO MUCH MORE than just the rink!

2010-11 Winners

The 3rd Annual NiceRink photo contest was a huge success again this year with over 600 pictures entered from 170 families. It was hard to narrow it down, but once we picked our top 15 favorites, we posted them on Facebook and opened the voting up to all who visited our office for a month. 2009-2010 Winners

Bigger AND Better, that's how we describe the 2nd Annual NiceRink photo contest. GREAT photos were received from 112 families across North America & Canada. It was tougher than trying to make ice in April trying to narrow it down to the top three, but we had to, so without further delay, here "in no particular order" are the top three NiceRink Best Backyard Photos for 2009-10. Each of these three winning photos will be receiving a Bobby Hull autographed Chicago Blackhawks jersey. Everyone else received a NiceRink "Care" Package.

Though your home is your castle, there is no necessity to surround it with a moat. Here are 5 tips that will help you to make your landscaping feel more warm, welcoming and cozy.

1. Put some flowers nearby your entrance.
